Pilke pendant lamps were created by the industrial designer Tuukka Halonen for Showroom Finland. Pilke is a Finnish word that means twinkle. Pilke shades are constructed of identical interlocking parts and the repetition of plywood parts in right angle creates a beautiful three dimensional, geometrically decorative light shade. Pilke pendant lamps are entirely made in Finland of birch plywood and assembled by local craftsmen. 

The Pilke Signature 60 pendant by Pilke Lights provides an atmospheric glow to any space. As you might have guessed by the luminaire's name, the Pilke 60 pendant light has a diameter of 60 cm, making it ideal for residential living spaces but also for a variety of public locations from offices to restaurants and hotel lobbies.

Pilke 60 is part of the simple yet ornamental Pilke Signature Collection designed by Tuukka Halonen. Crafted from birch plywood, the Pilke luminaires are an enchanting combination of technology and tradition: Halonen sought influences for the design from traditional Finnish wood crafts but utilized today’s manufacturing methods and materials. As a contemporary interpretation of shingle work, the lamps are characterised by a crystal-like pattern that filters the light pleasantly and casts beautiful shadows on the walls and ceiling. All Pilke lamps are designed and handcrafted in Finland.
